About Ruth Tittensor

Ruth Tittensor is an independent ecology and environmental history consultant based in Ayrshire and available for countryside consultancy projects throughout the UK.

Ruth graduated in Biology from Oxford University then took a research degree at Edinburgh University in the ecology and history of the Loch Lomond Oakwoods.

Ruth is a Chartered Biologist and Fellow of the Society of Biology.

An acclaimed researcher and author, Ruth’s book ‘An Oral History of Whitelee, its Community And Landscape‘ was shortlisted for the Scottish History Book Of The Year Award in 2009.

Ruth has 30 years experience delivering countryside consultancy for clients including statutory organisations such as Chichester Harbour Conservancy, farmers, estates and museums.
